Recent algal blooms and fish kills are indicators that our Indian River Lagoon is ill. It’s time to do something!  Join Oxbow’s NEW Water Champions training course to learn about the ecology of aquatic systems, understand the human impacts to these systems, and what you can do to make a difference.

“This course is about inspiring and empowering as much as it is about education,” says Wren Underwood, Senior Education Coordinator with the Oxbow Eco-Center.  “Our goal is to build a constituency that is well-versed in the ecology of aquatic systems, understands human impacts to those systems,  and motivated to help usher in an era of positive change for the Lagoon and its watershed.”

For more information and to register, contact the Oxbow staff at 772-785-5833.

Oxbow Eco-Center's For the Love of Florida Speaker Series complements the Water Champions program.
