Book Discussion Groups

The Library currently sponsors several discussion groups for adults. At monthly meetings you will discuss the best of contemporary fiction as well as some classics and non-fiction. We provide a copy of the book, a place to talk about it, and the expertise of one of our staff. Meetings are at the Kilmer (Fort Pierce), Lakewood Park, Lewis, Morningside and Port St. Lucie Branch Libraries.

Book Club in a Box
The Library offers resources and consultation to help you and your own book club every step of the way. With Book Club in a Box, you can obtain everything you need for a great discussion. If you have a St. Lucie County library card, you can check out a box with an extended due date at no charge. Most boxes include 12 copies of the selected title and discussion questions. If you are interested, a one-time facilitator may be available to meet with your group. Click here for the current list of available titles. For more information, please contact 772-462-2199.

The Library welcome donations to the Book Club in a Box program, which help us add new titles each year. If you or your group would like to make a new title available for discussion, please click here to see our guidelines for donation.

Online Book Clubs
You may also want to sign up for one our online book clubs and receive daily excerpts from new and classic books. Areas of interest include Audio, "AuthorBuzz," Business, Classics, Fiction, Good News, Mystery, Nonfiction, "Pre-publication," Romance, Science Fiction, Teen and Thrillers.
