St. Lucie County Pet Adoption

Be a Part of Saving Lives

white puppy paw inside shelterBecause we have new pets arriving each week, we encourage you to visit our website often and check out our adoptable dogs and cats.

Adding a dog or cat to your family can be a 20-year commitment. Different breeds or groups exhibit distinct characteristics, so it is important to research breeds and realistically consider the time, space, training needs, and resources you can consistently provide for any particular pet before you adopt.

Our current facility is only open for adoptions on certain days of the week due to parking and space availability. We are in the planning stages of building a new, larger facility to include an Adoption Center, a Receiving Center and Clinic, which will allow the Animal Safety Division to provide more services to its residents of the unincorporated areas of St. Lucie County.
