2025 Community Survey
During the summer of 2025, ETC Institute administered a community survey for St. Lucie County. The purpose of the survey was to assess resident satisfaction as part of the County’s ongoing effort to identify and respond to the community's needs. The seven-page survey, cover letter and postage-paid return envelope were mailed to a random sample of households in St. Lucie County. The cover letter explained the purpose of the survey and encouraged residents to either return their survey by mail or complete the survey online.
The goal was to receive 600 completed surveys. This goal was far exceeded, with 709 households completing the survey. The results for 709 households have a 95% confidence level with a precision of at least +/-3.7%.
The survey found that most respondents (77%) rated their overall quality of life in St. Lucie County as either “good” (53%) or “very good” (24%). The three items respondents thought would be most important to the overall quality of life in St. Lucie over the next 10 years (rating “important” or “very important”) are public safety (96%), infrastructure (95%), and balancing the impacts of growth (92%).
