Homeless Point In Time Count
The Point-In-Time Count is a 24-hour, community-wide effort conducted annually to identify and document individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the count captures a snapshot of both sheltered and unsheltered homeless populations on a single night in January. Volunteers, service providers, and outreach teams work together to survey and collect data, which helps communities understand the extent of homelessness, track trends over time, allocate resources, and develop strategies to address local needs.
