St. Lucie County's Communications Division is always looking for ways to reach residents and visitors, whether it is through our websites, government access channel (SLCTV Comcast 28 / U-Verse 99), social media, mobile apps or traditional media outlets such as newspapers and television stations.

Zombie Prom Returns to Hurston Branch Library Oct. 26

Dance with the dead at the Zora Neale Hurston Branch Library’s Zombie Prom on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m.

Teens are encouraged to come in your best Zombie costume. Have fun at the Zombie Make-up Station, test your aim at Zombie Target Practice and make zombie-themed crafts and buttons. Enjoy Prom Photos and learn the Thriller Dance.

Other family activities for include:

  • Storytime Jam on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Get your gaming on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. with Game Day and play on the library’s Nintendo Wii as well as classic board games.
  • Legos at the Library on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m.
  • S.T.E.A.M. Power! provides fun, hands-on creative activities including games, projects, experiments and more on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.
  • Contraption Faction gets “techie” on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. Designed for boys and girls in grade 4 and higher, this program focuses on building games, gadgets and robotics.
