St. Lucie County is Mobile & Social 

St. Lucie County's Communications Division is always looking for ways to reach residents and visitors, whether it is through our websites, government access channel (SLCTV Comcast 28 / U-Verse 99), social media, mobile apps or traditional media outlets such as newspapers and television stations.

Uncover the Secret Life of Pets at the Lewis Library Oct. 26

Discover even more about your pets’ lives as the Paula A. Lewis Library presents “The Secret Life of Pets 2” on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. for the Movie Matinee.

Featuring the voices of Kevin Hart and Harrison Ford, this animated sequel continues the story of Max and his pet friends, following their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day. The movies is rated PG with a running time of 86 minutes.  

Other family activities include:          

  • Just Baby & Me features songs, stories and movement for you and your baby (up to 36 months) on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Music & Motion for Kids gets swinging every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Designed for children under 6, this program involves songs, dance and instruments.
  • Storytime Jam is held on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Did you know that storytime encourages literacy, imagination and socialization? Bring your children (3-5) to clap, dance, sing and listen to stories.
  • Chill Time takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. This program allows adults with autism and other developmental challenges to socialize in a small group activity.
  • Come explore the world of science, technology, engineering, art and math at S.T.E.A.M. Power on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. Designed for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, learn about weather, rainbows, color, motion and more.
  • Make Your Own Halloween Bag on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. Use glow-in-the-dark vinyl & paint, our Ellison Press and other art materials to craft your personal goodie bag. For teens in grades 6-12. Reservation required, please call 772-871-7258 or email lbtech@stlucieco.org.
