Zora Neale Hurston Library Hosts Lions Club Poster Display Contest Through Jan. 15-Feb. 15
The Zora Neale Hurston Branch Library will be displaying local submissions for the Annual International Peace Poster Contest held by the Lion’s Club Jan. 15 to Feb. 15.
For more than three decades, Lions Clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.
This year’s theme is Kindess Matters. Stop by the Library during regular hours to view all of posters created by local middle school students at Lincoln Park Academy.
A panel of local judges will select a first place, second place, two third place winners as well as six honorable mentions. The winning local poster will go on to the International Lion’s Club Day event.
The Zora Neale Hurston Branch of the St. Lucie County Library System is located at 3008 Avenue D, Fort Pierce.
