St. Lucie County Earns Florida Public Relations Association Award
St. Lucie County’s Communications staff was recognized last week by the Florida Public Relations Association (FRPA) at its annual Golden Image Awards in Orlando.
St. Lucie County’s four-person Communications staff received an Award of Distinction in the Crisis Communication Category for its efforts during Hurricane Matthew. Last month, the staff received an Award of Excellence in the Crisis Communications category from the Palm Beach Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Since 2005, the St. Lucie County Office of Media Relations has earned roughly 25 FPRA awards at the regional and state level.
The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) is the oldest public relations organization in the United States. As a statewide Association, FPRA boasts nearly 1,500 professional and student members, all which make up the 15 professional and 11 student chapters. For more details visit: www.fpra.org.
