St. Lucie County is Mobile & Social 

St. Lucie County's Communications Division is always looking for ways to reach residents and visitors, whether it is through our websites, government access channel (SLCTV Comcast 28 / U-Verse 99), social media, mobile apps or traditional media outlets such as newspapers and television stations.

Three St. Lucie Libraries Welcome Minions Dec. 12, 19, 23

minions movie posterFind out the origins of Gru’s “henchmen” as the Morningside, Fort Pierce and Lakewood Park Branch Libraries present “Minions” (2015) for their Family Movie Matinees.

Featuring the voices of John Hamm, Sandra Bullock and Michael Keaton, this animated prequel to the “Despicable Me” series, follows Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob as they are recruited by Scarlett Overkill, a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world.

The movie will be shown:

  • Saturday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Morningside Branch Library, 2410 SE Morningside Blvd., Port St. Lucie
  • Saturday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Fort Pierce Branch Library, 101 Melody Lane, Fort Pierce
  • Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Lakewood Park Branch Library, 7605 Santa Barbara Blvd., Fort Pierce (as part of the Winter Break Matinee)

Best suited for ages 5-10, the movie is rated PG with a running time of 85 minutes. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a pillow or blanket and are welcomed to bring their own snacks and drinks. Parents/caregivers should must accompany younger children.

All programs are free and open to the public – thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Library.

Note: All St. Lucie County Libraries will be closed Friday, Dec. 25 and Saturday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas.
