St. Lucie County's Communications Division is always looking for ways to reach residents and visitors, whether it is through our websites, government access channel (SLCTV Comcast 28 / U-Verse 99), social media, mobile apps or traditional media outlets such as newspapers and television stations.

Meet Norm of the North at Port St. Lucie Library May 28

Norm of the northGet to know “Norm of the North” (2016) at the Port St. Lucie Branch Library on Saturday, May 28 at 2 p.m. as part of the library’s movie matinee.

Featuring the voices of Rob Schneider, Heather Graham and Ken Jeong, a polar bear named Norm decides to travel to New York City with his three friends after a real estate development invades his Arctic home. Norm soon becomes the mascot of the corporation in an attempt to bring it down from the inside and protect his homeland. This animated feature is rated PG with a running time of 90 minutes. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a pillow or blanket. 

Don’t forget other monthly programs such as Game On on Thursday, May 5 at 6 p.m., giving students access to play board and card games, and Legos at the Library on Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m. – best suited for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Weekly storytimes are held on Wednesdays (Just Baby & Me) and Fridays (Rhythm & Rhyme storytime) at 10:30 a.m.
