Library Volunteer Luncheon Celebration

 

I was honored to attend the Library Luncheon Volunteer Celebration and recognize the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time to supporting our local libraries. Their service and commitment help create welcoming spaces for learning, connection, and opportunity throughout our community. I am grateful for all they do and appreciate the positive impact they continue to have across our country.

National Public Safety Telecommunications Week

 

In recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, I had the opportunity to stop by the St. Lucie County Emergency Operations Center with breakfast from Bagel Brothers to thank the incredible team that keeps our community connected and safe. Our telecommunicators are the voices on the other end of the line during emergencies, working around the clock to dispatch help when it’s needed most. It was a small way to show appreciation for the vital role they play every single day, and to remind them how grateful we are for their dedication to serving St. Lucie County.

Boys and Girls Club of SLC Legacy Alumni Luncheon

It was an honor to attend the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County Legacy Alumni Luncheon and celebrate the incredible impact this organization has made in our community. Hearing the stories from alumni and seeing the legacy they have built was truly inspiring. As someone who was also a Boys and Girls Club kid, this one was especially meaningful to me. The lessons, support, and opportunities provided through this organization continue to shape lives long after childhood, and it is so special to see that impact come full circle.

 

 

St. Lucie Woods Sensory Friendly Preserve

 

I’m proud to share an update on a project that is very close to my heart, the St. Lucie Woods Sensory Friendly Preserve. On Tuesday, April 14th, we presented this initiative during the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners' informal meeting, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far this project has come. This has truly been a team effort, and I am so grateful for the dedicated Steering Committee and community partners who have worked tirelessly to help bring this vision to life. Creating an inclusive, welcoming space where individuals of all abilities can connect with nature is something our community can be proud of. It was also a pleasure to share the beautiful buttons I had made as a small token of appreciation for our Steering Committee members and their hard work. Thank you to everyone who continues to support and believe in this important project. I’m excited to keep this momentum going!

Boys & Girls Club Guest Speaker

It was an incredible honor to speak today at the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. Moments like this remind me how far life can take you with hard work and determination. While I was not a club kid here in St. Lucie County, I once sat in rooms just like that, never imagining I would be in the position I am today. Being able to share my journey, the challenges, and the growth along the way meant so much to me. I hope each of those kids left feeling inspired to dream big, work hard, and believe in everything they are capable of becoming.

 

 

Wynne Ranches Tour

 

Touring Wynne Ranches alongside aide Carly Ceglio served as an important reminder of why protecting our natural lands and wildlife habitats is so critical. Preserving these spaces helps safeguard Florida’s native species and ecosystems while ensuring future generations can continue to enjoy the beauty and environmental value they provide. Experiences like this reinforce the importance of thoughtful conservation efforts throughout our community.

Democratic Party of SLC Public Meeting

 

It was a pleasure speaking at the Democratic Party of St. Lucie County meeting alongside fellow commissioners to discuss important issues impacting our community and the work being done across the county. Opportunities like these allow for meaningful conversations with residents and local leaders while encouraging continued civic engagement and collaboration. I appreciate everyone who attended and remain committed to serving our community through open communication and partnership.

Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council Meeting

Thank you to the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council for the opportunity to discuss the St. Lucie Woods Preserve project today alongside Kim Delaney and Amy Griffin. It was great to continue the conversation about this unique initiative and the impact it will have on our community for years to come. I appreciate the collaboration, engagement, and support from everyone involved as we continue working toward creating a one-of-a-kind space in St. Lucie County.

 

 

Ribbon Cutting – Pepper Park Mobility Mats

The ribbon-cutting at Pepper Park Beach marked an exciting milestone for St. Lucie County with the official unveiling of the new mobility mats at one of the beach access entrances. What began as a conversation with the Hendry family grew into a meaningful project centered on making our beautiful coastline more welcoming and accessible for everyone. These mats now allow more individuals and families the opportunity to comfortably enjoy the beach and all it has to offer. I was especially grateful to State Representative Dana Trabulsy, Angel Robertson from Congressman Brian Mast’s office, along with the Hendry family, community members, and county leaders who helped make this vision a reality.

Grand Opening Lowe’s PSL

 

It was a pleasure attending the grand opening of Lowe’s on Village Parkway and celebrating this exciting addition to our community. New businesses like Lowe’s create jobs, support local growth, and provide valuable resources for residents and contractors alike. Congratulations to the entire Lowe’s team on this milestone, and we look forward to the positive impact this store will have for years to come!

Joint Meeting with the City of Fort Pierce

I had the opportunity to join my fellow St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners for a productive joint meeting with the Fort Pierce City Commission and the City of Fort Pierce Mayor. These collaborative discussions are essential as we work together to address shared priorities, strengthen partnerships, and continue building a brighter future for our residents. I appreciate the open dialogue and commitment to finding solutions that benefit both the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County. By working together, we can accomplish great things for our community!!
