A Recap of the Past Few Months

On November 19th, 2024, I was sworn in as the County Commissioner for District Three in St. Lucie County. As your new Commissioner, I am beyond humbled and deeply grateful for this opportunity to serve as your County Commissioner. It is an incredible honor, and I do not take it lightly.

Every step of this journey has been possible because of support, encouragement, and belief in our shared vision for a stronger, smarter, and more sustainable community. As I take on this new role, I promise to work tirelessly on behalf of the residents of our county, always keeping your voices at the forefront of every decision. Together, we will ensure that growth is balanced with quality, that our infrastructure meets the needs of our community, and that St. Lucie County remains a place we are all proud to call home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I look forward to serving you with integrity, passion, and dedication.

First Official Day

Inside St. Lucie

I was honored to be introduced by Erick Gill, the host of Inside St. Lucie on YouTube. Building strong connections with our community is a top priority for me as Commissioner, and I truly appreciate Erick’s efforts in fostering that connection through his engaging show.

Port St. Lucie’s Festival of Lights Parade

On December 7th, the City of Port St. Lucie hosted an incredible Christmas celebration that brought the community together in the true spirit of the season. It was an honor to join my fellow St. Lucie County Commissioners in the parade and be part of such a memorable event.

Getting to Know County Staff

The first few months as County Commissioner were a whirlwind of learning, from introductory meetings to formal sessions in the Chambers, all while gaining a deeper understanding of county operations. I was greeted with the warmest welcome from our dedicated county staff, whose professionalism, expertise, and commitment to excellence are truly admirable.

For someone new to local government, this transition was remarkably smooth, thanks to the incredible individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes with passion and dedication. I am beyond grateful for the guidance, patience, and support I have received since day 1! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way, and I look forward to working together to serve our community!

St. Lucie Drafthouse’s 30th Anniversary

Local business spotlight

For three decades, this beloved restaurant has brought our community together—whether it’s cheering for your favorite football team, sharing a meal with loved ones, or raising money for honorable causes. It’s more than a restaurant; it’s a home for many. Cheers to this local business that has been a part of many locals’ memories!

The force behind the Commissioner .... her Executive Aide

I'm excited to introduce my new Executive Aide, Carly Ceglio, a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Carly is enthusiastic about helping serve the community and supporting the work of the Commissioner’s office. With her strong communication skills and dedication, she will be an invaluable asset to our team.

Treasure Coast International Airport Tour

Touring Treasure Coast International Airport as it undergoes exciting renovations! Soon, this airport will offer commercial flights, bringing new travel opportunities to the region. It was inspiring to see the progress firsthand and learn about the impact this expansion will have on the community.

Guest speaker at Citizens Academy

I had the privilege of joining staff members from the Libraries, Area Regional Transit, Community Services, and Public Utilities Departments to speak at the Citizens’ Academy held at the Paula Lewis Branch Library. It was an exciting opportunity to engage with community members and share insights about the services that these departments provide to enhance our county.

Night to Shine

This was my second year attending Treasure Coast Night to Shine, and once again, I wouldn’t miss it for the world! It’s always a heartwarming experience for me to reconnect with former clients and colleagues, but this year held an extra special significance. I had the privilege of sharing the event with my daughter and Executive Aide. My deep love for our Special Needs community is unwavering, and I am eager to use my experience to help this population thrive and excel in our society!!

4Kids Galentines Brunch

My Executive Aide and I had the pleasure of attending the 4Kids Galentine’s Brunch, where we were surrounded by inspiring women dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of foster children.

New York Mets Opening Day!

Had a fantastic time at Opening Day for the New York Mets Spring Training alongside fellow Commissioners! It’s always great to see our community come together to celebrate, and we’re excited for another season of baseball right here in our backyard. Wishing the Mets a successful season.
