ST. LUCIE COUNTY – If you are interested in learning some of the technology basics, St. Lucie County libraries offer free technology training classes this May from photo editing tips to smartphones.

Technology training sessions for May include:

• Computer Basics on Friday, May 1 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Pruitt Campus Library. Learn the basics of Windows 11.
  
  
• Tech Talk on Friday, May 1 & 8 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Lakewood Park Branch. Drop in and chat with staff about phones, tablets, and a little bit of A.I. Learn something new and have fun.
  
  
• Drop-in Tech Help on Fridays, May 1, 8, 22 at 3 p.m. at the Hurston Branch. Bring in your device or ask questions with one-on-one help. Learn to read books online, listen to audiobooks, navigate your email, or practice with a library computer. No appointment necessary.
• Internet Basics on Tuesday, May 5 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lewis Branch. Learn how to use a search engine to get the information you need now.
  
  
• Internet Basics on Friday, May 8 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Pruitt Campus. Learn the ins and outs of using the internet.
  
  
• Virtual Reality Experience on Saturday, May 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Lakewood Park Branch. Immerse yourself in a 3-D world. All ages welcome. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  
  
• Cloud Storage on Tuesday, May 12 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lewis Branch. Use the power of the cloud to store and access your files and photos from any device.
• Apple Basics on Friday, May 15 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Pruitt Campus Library. Learn the ins and outs of your Apple device.
  
  
• Windows Basics on Tuesday, May 19 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lewis Branch. Learn how to save, organize, and find your files in Microsoft Windows. 2
  
  
• Android Basics on Thursday, May 21 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Morningside Branch. New to Android phones? Learn all about the basic features of your Android and how to navigate them.
• Website Creation with Wix on Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m. at the Kilmer Library. Join us for a showcase on using Wix for free and how you can customize your personal website to your liking.
• Libby & Kanopy Basics on Friday, May 22 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Pruitt Campus Library. Learn to use these two library resources for eBooks, movies and more.
  
  
• Virtual Reality on Saturday, May 23 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Morningside Branch. Put on VR goggles and step into a virtual world. You can choose from popular games like “Beat Saber” and “Epic Roller Coasters.” Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
  
  
• Virtual Reality Experience on Saturday, May 23 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Morningside Branch. Immerse yourself in a 3-D world. All ages welcome. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  
  
• Android Basics on Tuesday, May 26 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lewis Branch. We’ll show you how to get more from your phone than just calls and texts.
• Photo Editing Basics on Thursday, May 28, at 6 p.m. at the Kilmer Branch. Find out how to crop images out of backgrounds and place them into other images. We’ll be using PhotoPea, a free browser-based alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
  
  
• Email Basics on Friday, May 29 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Pruitt Campus Library. Learn how to set up an account, write and send an email.
