Experience the St. Lucie Earth Day Festival at the Oxbow Eco-Center on Saturday, April 18
PORT ST. LUCIE – The 22nd Annual St. Lucie Earth Day Festival returns to the Oxbow Eco-Center on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s sure to be a day full of fresh air and experiences to celebrate our planet. Best of all, admission is free.
As the Treasure Coast’s premier Earth Day event, the festival brings together eco-art, sustainable living ideas, conservation organizations, and local resources all in a nature preserve setting. Guests can explore six unique “neighborhoods” tucked throughout the gardens and trails, each filled with hands-on activities and exhibits. Along the way, meet environmental groups, educators, gardeners, beekeepers, foresters and more.
Visitors can get up close with live animals, explore the nature playscape or take on the Eco-Challenge Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win prizes. Come hungry; food vendors will be serving up a variety of sweet and savory fare. Live music from local favorites such as The Firewater Tent Revival and the Treasure Coast Ukulele Club will round out the festival experience. Kids and kids-at-heart can choose a musical instrument and join in the Kids’ Jamboree.
Grab a spot to experience the Sustainable Fashion Show, where creativity meets sustainability in imaginative upcycled designs. The Festival Market will feature sustainably- sourced items and festival t-shirts, with proceeds supporting nature programs for underserved youth in the community.
Festival parking will be located just north of the Oxbow Eco-Center on St. James Drive at Southern Oaks Middle School and Rivers Edge Elementary School. From there, hop on one of the free, continuous shuttles provided by St. Lucie County’s Area Regional Transit (ART). Shuttles are stroller-friendly and ADA accessible.
Come out, bring a friend (or two!) and celebrate Earth Day the fun way. For more details and updated stage schedules, exhibitors, sponsors and vendors visit the St. Lucie Earth Day Festival webpage.
