Public Works employees show dedication to public service

Several members of the Public Works Department were recently recognized for their commitment to public service, advanced training.

Derek Moore, Road & Bridge Division Manager

St. Lucie County Public Works is celebrating its own.

Road & Bridge Division Manager Derek Moore recently celebrated 35 years employed with the St. Lucie County. Moore began his career performing field work and advanced into a leadership position overseeing critical infrastructure operations. His career reflects growth, perseverance, and long-term commitment to public service.

Moore was among the employees recognized during the Annual Longevity Celebration. The event highlighted their dedication, institutional knowledge, and public service. 

In addition, several members of the Public Works team were recognized for leveling up their professional development. Employees across the organization completed Learning Track certificates in 2025.

Alexey Gilev, County Surveyor

Alexey Gilev, County Surveyor, completed the Safety Certificate, Professional Development, and Leadership tracks.

Jessica Gresham, Project Manager - Traffic, completed the Professional Development track.

Michael Heller, Road & Bridge Senior Project Manager, completed the Leadership track.
