ST. LUCIE COUNTY – As residents clean up after the holiday, St. Lucie County’s Solid Waste staff reminds residents and businesses that there is a minimum fee to dispose of garbage at the Baling and Recycling Facility on Glades Cutoff Road.

If residents don’t want to wait until their bulk pickup day and choose to haul their garbage to the landfill, then there is a $10 minimum fee for up to 250 pounds of waste. Hazardous and e-waste materials are accepted at no charge.

Located at 6120 Glades Cut-off Road, the St. Lucie County Baling and Recycling Facility is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., for hand unloaders and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for hand unloaders.
