Each week, St. Lucie County updates a log of road closures so that you're aware if your commute may be impacted. Closures this week include:

Sandia Avenue and Southeast Placita Court

• Closure Type: Temporary closure scheduled for the intersection of Sandia Avenue and Southeast Placita Court
• Start Date: 6/2/2025
• End Date: 6/30/2025
• Time: 24 hours/day
• Reason for Closure: Baffle box installation
• Details: The intersection of Sandia Avenue and Southeast Placita Court will be closed temporarily beginning June 2. It is expected to reopen on or before June 30. During this closure, Ferreira Construction will install a new baffle box to help treat stormwater runoff.

Sandia Avenue and Southeast Castana Court

• Closure Type: Temporary closure scheduled for the intersection of Sandia Avenue and Southeast Castana Court
• Start Date: 6/23/2025
• End Date: 7/11/2025
• Time: 24 hours/day
• Reason for Closure: Baffle box installation
• Details: The intersection of Sandia Avenue and SE Castana Court will be closed beginning June 23, 2025, and expected to reopen on or before July 11, 2025. The closure is needed to install a new “baffle box” to treat and improve water quality of stormwater runoff before discharging to the North Fork of the St. Lucie River.

FDOT - Silver Oaks Drive

• Closure Type: Closed daily between 9 a.m. on June 30 through 4 p.m. on Friday, July 11.  If weather or unforeseen circumstances arise, Silver Oaks Drive will reopen by Friday, July 18. Signage will be posted to assist motorists.
• Start Date: 6/30/2025
• End Date: 7/11/2025
• Time: 24 hours/day
• Reason for Closure: Drainage work
• Details: Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 30, southbound Silver Oaks Drive at CR 712/Midway Road will be closed daily through 4 p.m. on Friday, July 11, for drainage work. If weather or unforeseen circumstances arise, Silver Oaks Drive will reopen by Friday, July 18. Signage will be posted to assist motorists.

Old Dixie Highway Bridge over Taylor Creek

• Closure Type: Full road closure
• Time: 24 hours/day
• Details: Old Dixie Highway Bridge over Taylor Creek, approximately 1/4 mile south of State Road A1A, remains closed to the public.
