St. Lucie County will host an in-person Public Meeting for an Access Management Project at Prima Vista Boulevard from Airoso Boulevard to U.S. 1.
The county plans to remove the shared left‑turn lane between Airoso Boulevard and U.S. 1 and replace it with a raised median. This change will reduce the number of places where cars and pedestrians cross paths, which has been shown to lower the number of crashes. Adding landscaping and design features will also make the road feel narrower, encouraging drivers to slow down. Together, these improvements will make the street safer and better suited to the nearby residential neighborhood along Prima Vista Boulevard. The preliminary construction cost is $5,100,000.
Public participation at this meeting is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this meeting is asked to advise the agency at least seven (7) days before the meeting by contacting FDOT al 305-470-534.
