Opioid Overdose Prevention Training
Hands-on training for administering Narcan (naloxone) safely and effectively to reverse opioid overdoses and potentially save lives. Participants will also learn the basics of opioids and how they work, be able to understand the opioid overdose epidemic at the national, state, and local level, recognize signs of an opioid overdose, understand the recovery position and the Good Samaritan Act, and know where to find naloxone and what treatment/recovery services are available in the community.
