Join an experienced guide, get outside and enjoy the natural wonders of St. Lucie County with the Environmental Resources Department's award-winning Guided Nature Program series. With over 11,000 acres of protected land in the county, there are plenty of opportunities to hit the trails. Whether it’s your first time joining the program, or your 100th time, there’s always something exciting to discover on St. Lucie County Preserves!
- Tuesday, Oct 14 – White City Paddle at Petravice Family Preserve (9:00am-12:00pm) – Join a relaxing paddle on the St Lucie River up to White City Park. A perfect kayak trip to explore the flora and fauna of our local waterway. This trip almost guarantees to see reptiles and wading birds! No experience necessary. All equipment provided. You are welcome to bring your own kayak, canoe, or paddleboard if you prefer.

ERD Guided Nature Program kayak events are $20 per person, reservations are required, and space is limited. GNP season now runs from September through June.
