Join an experienced guide, get outside and enjoy the natural wonders of St. Lucie County with the Environmental Resources Department's award-winning Guided Nature Program series. With over 11,000 acres of protected land in the county, there are plenty of opportunities to hit the trails. Whether it’s your first time joining the program, or your 100th time, there’s always something exciting to discover on St. Lucie County Preserves!
- Saturday, Oct 11 – Birder’s Excursion Walk at Jones Hammock Preserve (8:00am-11:00am) – Lace up your boots and grab the binoculars! This walk is a great opportunity for local birders to challenge their skills as we transition from woodland into wetland, drawing soaring, swimming, and wading birds. New to birding? No problem! No experience or equipment necessary.

ERD Guided Nature Program hikes are FREE, reservations are required, and space is limited. GNP season now runs from September through June.
