Explore a new trail with the Environmental Resources Department's award-winning guided nature program series. Join a hike and traverse a few miles of walking trails within 11,000 acres of protected land in the county. Join an experienced guide, get outside and enjoy the natural wonders of St. Lucie County!

• Sunday, Sept 14 – Southward Migration Walk at Sweetwater Hammock Preserve (8:30am-10:00am) - Many migratory birds are transiting south through Florida now, stopping to reset and feed on insects and native vegetation. This program is intended as a leisurely stroll through this charming preserve, affording opportunities to stop, look, and listen for birdsong, take in the view of the St. Lucie River, and enjoy autumn blooms and berries.

ERD Guided Nature Program hikes are FREE, reservations are required, and space is limited. GNP season now runs from September  through June.
