Dr. Krimsky will speak to us about the source and concentrations of surface water nutrients from residential waterfront homes in the northern Indian River Lagoon. The project is investigating three things: 1) the amount of nutrients associated with surface water runoff from both conventional and Florida Friendly landscapes, 2) the source of those nutrients through the nitrogen isotopic signature and 3) the impact of the fertilizer ordinance blackout that is in effect during the wet season.
