Summer is ending, but that doesn’t mean the fun needs to! Join an experienced guide, get outside and enjoy the natural wonders of St. Lucie County with the Environmental Resources Department's award-winning Guided Nature Program series. With over 11,000 acres of protected land in the county, there are plenty of opportunities to hit the trails. Whether it’s your first time joining the program, or your 100th time, there’s always something exciting to discover on St. Lucie County Preserves!
- Saturday, Sept 26 – Taxonomic Troubles Walk at D.J. Wilcox Preserve (9:00am-10:30am) - A lot of us experience plant blindness (habitually overlooking their plant surroundings). Connect to your local environment by spotting palm trees, oak trees, or pine trees and knowing the species classifications. Great for those looking to build their plant ID skills.
