Walton Road

Walton Road from US-1 to Village Green Boulevard is being reconstructed and raised to alleviate flooding issues at US-1.
A Stormwater pond is being constucted to treat the water run-off. The pond will be located adjacent to Village Green Boulevard North of Walton Road. Furthermore, Walton Road will be enhanced with pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements.

It's being funded by the St. Lucie County economic stimulus plan from the County funds.

The project started in August of 2009 and is estimated to be completed around April 1, 2010. This project is on an accelerated schedule and has been approved to have work done from dawn to dusk, Monday through Saturday, excluding County Holidays.
