Friday, December 3, 2010 - Oxbow Gets Crafty With Trash Dec. 11Bring your imagination and get creative at the Oxbow Eco-Center on Saturday, Dec. 11 form 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. as the staff turns trash into treasures during the Nature for Families program.
Participants will create artistic works that can be given as presents or used to adorn your home. Such works of art need a lot of supplies, so the Oxbow is asking participants to bring along any recycled materials such as old cds, empty toilet paper rolls, scrap paper (one side blank), a box to wrap, and a giant imagination.
The Nature for Families program is appropriate for ages 5 and older. The cost is $5 per child and reservations are a must.
The Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County Environmental Learning Center located on 225 acres on the St. Lucie River at 5400 N.E. St. James Drive, Port St. Lucie.
