Monday, November 1, 2010 - Oxbow Encourages Families To Get Lost In The Woods Nov. 13
Take an adventure into the wild and join the Oxbow Eco-Center's Nature for Families program on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. as you get lost in the woods and learn some basic survival skills. Learn about the “Rule of Three,” how to orient yourself, and how to make a shelter.Participants will learn the basic components of a survival kit and tips for making their own. The program will take place outside, so please prepare accordingly. All participants need to be accompanied by an adult.
The Nature for Families program is appropriate for all ages. The cost is $3 per child and reservations are a must.
