Wednesday, November 25, 2008 - St. Lucie Habitat Seeks Women Builders
St. Lucie County Habitat for Humanity is looking for 200 women to volunteer on a new ''Women Build'' project in Fort Pierce, starting Jan. 10.Sponsored in part by St. Lucie County's Community Services Department and Lowe's, the Women Build project will build a new home in the first quarter of 2009. Volunteers of all skill level are encouraged to help in either four or eight hour shifts on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays January through April. Training workshops will begin Nov. 29; however, volunteers are needed to sign up now.
