Thursday, May 1, 2008 - Registration Underway for Two Adult Softball Leagues

Registration is underway through the St. Lucie County Parks and Recreation Department for two adult softball leagues starting this summer.

Men's Adult USSSA Summer Softball League begins May 27 with games being played on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. The cost to participate is $450 per team - subject to the amount of teams and money that is collected by the May 20 deadline. There is a maximum of 12 teams in the league. This is a USSSA sanctioned league.

St. Lucie County Church League Softball begins June 2 with games being played Mondays at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. The cost to participate is $340 per team. All league fees must be paid by the first scheduled game. USSSA rules will apply.

Games for both leagues will be played at the Lawnwood Softball Complex. Registration will be taken at the St. Lucie County Parks and Recreation Division Office, 1302 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce.
