December 21, 2007 - Morningside Library Presents Nature Talk Jan. 9
Captain and Audubon Warden ''Chop'' Legé will offer a nature talk at the Morningside Branch of the St. Lucie County Library System on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 1:30 p.m.
Capt. Legé's program is provided through a partnership with the Marine Resource Council and Mosquito Control of St. Lucie County.
The topic of the talk will be ''Birds of Florida'' as Capt. Legé will introduce the hundreds of bird species and discuss how Florida is visited by an abundance of migrating and breeding birds.
To complement his talk, Capt. Legé will conduct a ''walk and talk tour'' of Bear Point Sanctuary on South Hutchinson Island on Friday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. Participants will need to meet the captain at the park.
The nature talk and the ''walk and talk tour'' are free and registration is not required.
Morningside Branch Library is located at 2410 Morningside Blvd., one block side of Port St. Lucie Boulevard.
