December 5, 2007 - Library Presents Book Talk On Health Care Dec. 18

Dr. Harold R. Lee will present a book talk and book signing at the Fort Pierce Library on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. His book, ''The Health Care Crisis: The Enigma That Is No Mystery: The Answer to Your Health Care Crisis...YOU!'' is about the failing health care system.

Dr. Lee completed pre-medical studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and then studied physical therapy at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. Selected for the Army Specialized Training Program in 1943, he saw combat service in the European Theatre. Dr. Lee later entered Lincoln Chiropractic College and served two years on the faculty, after which he entered private practice for 45 years.

Dr. Lee will discuss the failure of the public to understand the problem of how the failing health care system, if not fundamentally changed, will bankrupt us, individually and collectively, or how millions of people will be forced to go without needed care. He will talk about the many shortcomings and flaws of existent health care and the changes that must be made to restore its ability to equitably serve the public.
