November 30, 2007 - DayJet To Provide Per-Seat Service At SLC Airport
Roughly a month after announcing plans to feature St. Lucie County International Airport as a ''DayStop'' destination, DayJet Corporation has expanded its services, offering ''Per-Seat, On Demand'' flights to and from the company's DayPort network.''We've been really pleased with the partnership that has developed between the airport, DayJet and the business community,'' said Diana Lewis, St. Lucie County International Airport director. ''This new service will provide a lot more flexibility for DayJet users.''
Based in Boca Raton, DayJet Corporation offers the first ''Per-Seat, On-Demand'' jet service in Florida. DayJet members, which number more than 1,500 business travelers, can use the airline for customize travel aboard DayJet's fleet of Eclipse 500™ very light jets (VLJs).
St. Lucie County commissioners and airport staff met with DayJet representatives at the Florida Airport Council conference in July. DayJet representatives traveled to St. Lucie County this fall to meet with local business leaders, such as the Economic Development Council, the Chamber of Commerce and other representatives from the business community.
DayJet's first Florida DayPort facilities include airports in Boca Raton, Gainesville, Lakeland, Pensacola and Tallahassee. The company plans to expand its ''Per-Seat, On-Demand'' service within the next two years to dozens of additional DayPort locations across the Southeast, including Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
