November 27, 2007 - Treasure Coast Connector Offering Free Rides All December
The Treasure Coast Connector, the public transportation system for Martin and St. Lucie counties, is offering free rides on its fixed routes throughout the month of December.
''With the ever increasing cost of gasoline, community transit is an excellent way to save money during the holidays,'' said Corine Williams, St. Lucie County's Community Services transit manager.
The Treasure Coast Connector offers three fixed routes in Martin and St. Lucie counties Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. The main route covers U.S. 1 from Fort Pierce to Stuart with stops at K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Publix, The Treasure Coast Mall, Lowes, BJ's, and pharmacies, as well as the medical centers.
