November 16, 2007 - Morningside Library Presents December Walls of Art
St. Lucie County's Morningside Branch Library is pleased to present paintings by Florida artists Jerry DeVane and Julian Paul as part of the library's ''Walls of Art'' program.Throughout December, library visitors can enjoy the artwork of DeVane and Paul. Specializing in painting scenes of ranchlands in St. Lucie County, DeVane studied with legendary local artist A.E. Backus. Paul studied art at the Pratt Institute in New York City, where he also worked as an illustrator for Doubleday. Specializing in acrylic paintings of marine life, Paul’s works have appeared locally at the A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery.
The ''Walls of Art'' display is ongoing and will change monthly featuring different local artists.
