October 26, 2007 - Lakewood Park Library Hosts New Deal Lecture Nov. 6

The Lakewood Park Branch Library is offering a unique history program: ''Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the New Deal,'' presented by Patti Kirk on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.

The New Deal was the name given by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to a series of programs initiated during the 1930s to bring relief from the Great Depression.

Patti Kirk, an entertaining lecturer, has done genealogy research for 30 years. She is a newspaper columnist, teacher and lecturer.

This program is free and registration is not required.
