October 24, 2007 - FP Library Presents Acupuncture Lecture Nov. 6
Dr. Stuart S. Shipe, D.O.M., P.A., will be the guest speaker at the Fort Pierce Library on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m.Dr. Shipe is an Acupuncture Physician and Chinese Herbalist, board certified by the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Additionally, Dr. Shipe is licensed as a Registered Pharmacist. He received his training at Han Tang School of Acupuncture in Meritt Island, Florida and the National College of Oriental Medicine in Orlando. The doctor is also an active member of the ''Doctor's Speaker's Bureau'' and provides lectures on natural healing options and acupuncture.
Traditional Chinese medicine, of which acupuncture is a part, is a holistic system of healing which has diagnosed, treated and prevented illness for more than 3,000 years. Based on the principles of internal balance and harmony, this highly refined and complex discipline works to regenerate the body's organs and systems.
The lecture will include natural options for everyday living as well as a discussion of the benefits of acupuncture.
Dr. Shipe presents ''A Better Way to Health,'' on WPSL AM 1590 radio on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m.
