January 12, 2005 - Several St. Lucie County Beaches Reopen

The following beaches on South Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce have reopened to the public: Frederick Douglass Park, Normandy Beach, Walton Rocks Beach (the dog beach) and Herman's Bay Beach.
