March 28, 2005 - Veterans Services Department and the United Veterans of St. Lucie County to Host Golf Tournament

The St. Lucie County Veterans Department and the United Veterans of St. Lucie County will host the 14th annual United Veterans Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 23 at Fairwinds Golf Course in Fort Pierce. The tournament is a four-person scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $70 per person and includes continental breakfast, bucket of range balls prior to start, greens fees, hat, buffet lunch and raffle prizes. Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the St. Lucie County Veterans van transportation program. Players have the chance to win a brand new car courtesy of Fort Pierce's Roger Dean Buick/GMC in the "Hole in One" contest. Additionally, awards will be presented in several categories including longest drive, straightest drive and closest to the pin for individuals and first, second, third and last place teams.
