January 26, 2006 - St. Lucie County MPO Conducting Park-n-Ride Survey

The St. Lucie Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is conducting a park-and-ride survey, which will consist of distributing a mail-back postcard survey to motorists at key intersections within St. Lucie County. The park-and-ride survey is a vital component of St. Lucie MPO's effort to identify and document potential park-and-ride locations to serve residents who drive long distances to work and other trip purposes. To minimize impacts to traffic flow, the survey will be distributed to motorists already stopped at intersections (listed below). The survey will be distributed between the hours of 7 and 8:30 a.m. from February 7-9 at the following locations:

Florida's Turnpike @ S.R. 70 (westbound left-turn);

S.R. 70 @ Jenkins Road (westbound through) - [just east of I-95];

U.S. 1 @ Kings Highway (northbound through);

St. Lucie West Blvd @ Peacock Blvd (westbound through) - [just east of I-95];

Gatlin Blvd @ Savage Blvd (westbound through) - [just east of I-95];

Florida's Turnpike @ Port St. Lucie Blvd (westbound left-turn);

U.S. 1 @ Port St. Lucie Blvd (southbound through + eastbound right-turn); and

Becker Rd @ Gilson Rd/Murphy Rd (eastbound right-turn) - [just north of Martin Co. Line].

The survey will also be available on the MPO website at www.stluciempo.org beginning February 7, 2006.
