February 9, 2006 - Motorists to Experience Detours on South 25th Street in Fort Pierce

Florida East Coast Railways will close the railroad crossing at South 25th Street immediately north of Bell Avenue in Fort Pierce from February 11-13. The closing is to widen the railroad crossing to accommodate the South 25th Street widening project. Local residents should use Edwards Road or Bell Avenue and Oleander Avenue to access South 25th Street north or south of the closure.

Additionally, residents and motorists who need to use South 25th Street should be prepared to experience detours near Virginia Avenue on Saturday morning due to the closing of the Virginia Avenue for the 50th Annual Cattleman’s Day parade to take place at 11 a.m.
