February 28, 2006 - South Indian River Drive to Open to the Public on March 1, 2006

St. Lucie County will open the southern portion of Indian River Drive, from Midway Road to the Martin County line, to public traffic tomorrow, March 1. The northern portion of the County's restoration efforts on Indian River Drive, from Savannah Road to Midway Road, opened to public traffic earlier this month.

The section of Indian River Drive in downtown Fort Pierce from Citrus to Atlantic remains closed until August 2007. This construction project is unrelated to the County's hurricane restoration efforts.
