March 20, 2006 - Interruption of Water Service and Boil Water Notice for North Hutchinson Island in St. Lucie County

The St. Lucie County Utilities Department has announced that the main water break caused by a stress fracture to the line that occurred on Saturday, March 18, has been temporarily fixed. However, because additional repairs need to be made, there will be no water service tonight from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. for all of North Hutchinson Island.

When service is restored, there will be a precautionary boil water order in effect until further notice. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used.
