April 5, 2006 - Clerk of Courts Office Building Groundbreaking Ceremony Scheduled

St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners, along with the Clerk of Circuit Court Ed Fry, Jr., will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Clerk of Courts office building on Tuesday, April 11 at 2 p.m. The event will take place at the corner of Indian River Drive and Atlantic Avenue in Fort Pierce.

The $12 million project, being constructed by David Brooks Enterprises of Palm Beach Gardens, will house the Clerk's employees that have been displaced in locations all over St. Lucie County since the hurricanes of 2004. The five-story, 57,000-square-foot building will also include over 2,500 square feet of retail and restaurant space and construction is expected to be complete by late 2007.
