May 8, 2006 - Science in the Woods: An Environmental Field Day at the Oxbow Eco-Center
Nearly 500 fifth and sixth grade students are expected to congregate at the Oxbow Eco-Center this Wednesday, May 10th to participate in a day of fun and learning. Sponsored by the Oxbow Eco-Center, the Gulf Stream Council's Learning for Life program and the St. Lucie County Department of Health, Science in the Woods is a hands-on day of emersion in environmental studies.This event will combine the efforts of various environmental agencies and community volunteers to deliver environmental knowledge to students from White City Elementary, River's Edge Elementary, and North Port Middle schools. Students will move through a series of activity stations beginning at 10:00 am and concluding at 1:00 pm.
