May 8, 2006 - Irrigation Restrictions for Unincorporated St. Lucie County

Due to the existing drought conditions and to protect the water resources of the county from the high demand for water during this period, St. Lucie County Utilities, servicing the unincorporated areas of the county, is imposing irrigation restrictions between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. effective immediately. Due to the lack of reuse and retention area water, potable water is being used at an excessive rate. The St. Lucie County Utilities Department is also requesting voluntary daily use restrictions of watering to less than seven days per week. These restrictions will remain in effect until sufficient rainfall is received.
