Monday, August 13, 2012 - County Libaries Closed Aug. 28 For Software Upgrades
All five St. Lucie County Branch Libraries will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 28 as staff performs a major upgrade to the circulation software.St. Lucie County Library and Information Technology staff will begin the two-day upgrade process on Monday, Aug. 27, when all libraries are closed. However, staff will need an additional day to complete the software update, which has not been upgraded since 2007. The computer software being updated provides access to the Library System’s entire catalog and circulation system. Additionally, the Library’s online database, IBistro, will be unavailable during this two-day upgrade, so users will be unable to access the catalog and request materials during this time.
No item checked out from any St. Lucie County Library will be due until Wednesday, Aug. 30.
The Aug. 28 closure will only affect Morningside, Fort Pierce and Lakewood Park Branch Libraries, as the Port St. Lucie and Zora Neale Hurston Branches are express service libraries and are typically closed on Tuesdays.
