Hook a Kid on Golf - 2009

Tee Level Golf Program

This summer's Hook a Kid on Golf Tee Level Program was held June 22- June 26.Twenty-seven lucky children from the area were invited to come out and learn the game of golf, experience a golf tournament on the final day and take home their very own set of golf clubs at no charge, thanks to a grant from USGA & the sponsors. The sponsors were local individuals, organizations and businesses. The children who qualified to be in this program were between the ages of 8 & 15, had no prior golf experience, no equipment and were deemed to not normally have the opportunity to be exposed to the game of golf. It was a privilege to work with this group of young people. They learned everything they possibly could about the game of golf in five short days. Thanks again to all the sponsors, volunteers and coaches who participated and helped out.
