Indrio Scrub Preserve

A very good example of scrub along the Atlantic Ridge.

Size: 13 acres
Habitat: Scrub containing sand live oak, myrtle oak, cabbage palm and saw palmetto.
Trails: 1/2 mile interpretive trail, identifying the most common species within the scrub ecosystem.
Commonly Seen Wildlife: Scrub lizard and mockingbird.
Location:

5100 Old Dixie Highway, Ft. Pierce.  Located approximately 1/2 mile north of Indrio road, on the east side of Old Dixie Hwy

Notes:

Hiking trail is located across the street from the parking lot.
