BRE Goals & Objectives
There are two key goals for a business retention and expansion program:
- Removing local obstacles that prevent existing firms from remaining in operation in the community.
- Helping businesses become more competitive.
The Business Retention and Expansion of local business serves several economic development objectives which include:
- Maintaining and increasing employment opportunities.
- Stabilizing and maintaining a vibrant economy.
- Identifying problems that need attention and/or correction.
- Identifying new business linkages and attraction opportunities.
